    H&R Officers Model - 1879 rear sight

    Hello,

    Looking to install a 1879 rear sight on my H&R Officers Model and need a measurement to locate the sight in the correct position on the barrel. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

      Jones, On my original the m-79 sight is .440 from the back edge of the barrel band to the front of the slght base. Hope this helps.
