Would anyone have SRS info on my Springfield Model 1888 RRB. Serial No. 556869. Thanks for any help.

I hope this is not inappropriate to ask here; my family has one of the cartouche Detroit Board of Commerce rifles numbered 251607. Does this mean anything?

Yes, During World War one it stood proud guard on the docks of Detroit. And today you would need a heck of a lot more firepower to visit there than the old Springfield could supply.
