No I do not other than it's Spanish American War vintage.I liked it and saved it because of all the paraphernalia shown in the picture.A man with a sword may talk of peace.A man with out a sword may talk of peace, but he must talk very fast indeed.Comment

the man standing high on the right, what is that he is holding in his right hand?
He appears to be gripping a holster attached to a cartridge belt that's hanging from the rafter.
Looks like the two guys inside the shed are playing cards."No man's life, liberty, or property is safe, while Congress is in session." Mark TwainComment

Looks like he's grabbing the holster attached to the ctg. belt hanging from the rafter, I had to look twice - the same guy exhaling smoke, the card game, the squad cleaning rod, the belt around the stacked rifles, field equipment. Thirteen soldiers, maybe a squad? I like the one on the left holding open the breechblock, why would he do that? Very entertaining photo. Thanks for posting.Last edited by Lee T.; 10-12-2014, 05:40.Comment

I think the guy holding up the breachblock is trying to say "We have these fancy new cartridge guns instead of those old fashioned muzzle loaders".Fred Pillot

No -since it is SAW period, it's much more likely he is complaining that he doesn't have a Krag!!!!
That is a really neat picture! Would be great to have everything in sharp focus - there are so many little vignettes.Comment

Thank you for posting this picture. It appears to be State Volunteers, sworn in, and waiting to serve, during the SAW. It could be anywhere, neat!Comment
