Any history or Info available on a TD 45-70 Carbine serial number is 186980 STAR It has the long range Buffington Rear sight with "C" marking and "Spur" barrel band, breech block is marked 1873, not the side plate, standard saddle ring carbine stock with folding door on butt plate and 3 piece cleaning rod inside, stock is refinished so I barely see a cartrouche and faint circle "P" on bottom. pictures will follow, nice bore, but barrel is turning brown (patina) Dug this one out of an attic in Jacksonville Fla.
