Winged r/r wheel is a nice touch.
Any mfr's marks? That's a nice piece of dress kit!

Yes. There's the Eickhorn squill logo, and that firm is one of the better known blade makers. Others I look for are WK&C, ALCOSO and Puma. (of course) SW

Got this today to replace the small Gerber I gave away.

With the pocket clip removed. The screw heads on the pocket clip were pretty soft.
The scales have been up-dated over the earlier black version I had bought about 3 years ago. Other knives that I have are classed as pocket knives, but are a bit big for continual pocket carry. The little mini-para-frame series knives with their 2-1/4" blades are a good compromise, and fit nicely into the "watch" pocket of the jeans I usually wear.
Factory edge on it is almost sharp. I'll run it through the smith's sharpener a few times to give it a little more bite, and oil the hinge area.
I'm not dressed without one of these small knives in the usual pocket.

For decades, I carried a tiny Victorinox of one form another.
I like these Gerber branded knives better for the locking blade, and edge retention. Getting the edge up from factory takes a little incentive though.

I've tried many times throughout my life to carry a knife. When I do it seems to send out radar waves that I have one on me. When people ask to use it you have to hang around to get it back plus oversee that they aren't trying to cut steel with it.

Most of us who fancy a knife are particular about their care. Others seem not so. You hate to refuse someone if they ask.

Oddly enough I found if I don't have one on me no one ask if I do. So, I just quit.

I also like Western and have a few vintage knives from that company. The problem with getting more is that they've become rather collectible. I'll try to find my fave Western today - processed a few deer with it, I have! SW

The only one that bothered me for knives was old boss at Eaton Place. I loaned him a Gerber multi-tool one time, and it came back with a busted blade lock. Started carrying a box-cutter on my belt, just for him to cut dry-wall with and strip wires. Kept my personal knives to me after that.

Both Case, and Western made some fairly decent electrician's knives~ which I never see around anymore. Klein put out a few of their own, but it's hard to find one with intact scales.

I had a nice Ireland made Imperial pocket knife back in the late 70's before the Schrade take-over. Really nice steel on that one that held an edge long term. I'd like to find another, but they seem to have dried up.

In the past I've loaned knives only to have the tip broken or the edge rolled. "I don't loan anymore, but I'll cut for you". Antenna used to go up when wife wanted to borrow a tool. Never knew what she wantd to us it for...solved by getting her a basic tool set, including 25' tape measure, 6" and 3" flat and Phillips, vice grips, regular pliars, small claw hammer. Other things find their way in too; odd screws and small common and finishing nails, tacks, and more all added by her. Now, anything those tools can't do, I do.
