Got this about 3 weeks ago. Tall framed Nottingham built Raleigh 5 speed sportster re-badged as Eaton's Glider.
In the back of our Escape. Yes, it's a project.
Should have taken a better pic of it in original configuration, but that's all I could remember to do.

It get's just a little spendy at times, but keeps me out of the cathouses and bars etc. If I were to do a touring bike, this is the way I would go. Staying with the fenders. Intent is a rain bike, but there's a way to go with that yet.

Sweet ride. It's a lot easier on the bone cage than the racing frames I'm accustomed to.

Scored a German fireman's short sawback bayonet this morning. This is a scarce variety since adding the teeth was an extra expense. That and they were good for pretty much nothing - especially on the short bayonet. They're sharp as heck, though!

Got this small lot of RR items from online auction. I was mostly interested in the switch keys of various RRs. These were all made by Adlake. I still have my Adlake switch keys from a Chicago & Northwestern subdivision in S Dakota. The union pins are pretty much worthless IMO. Yes, I belonged, but with RRS, you actually need representation. Then there's a small pocket knife that was apparently given as an "attaboy" for good work. I'll post better pics when I have it in hand. Don't recognize the brand, but there's a small chance the steel might be good. I had a bit of seniority, so my last "attaboy" item was a Maglite I enjoy to this day - marked the the RR (UP) and subdivision. (coal line) SW
