Saturday coffee and catching up thread - Nov 1

Survived Halloween, we did! 8 little candy moochers again who got loaded up since wifey found a sale on cheap candy. For pranks, I noticed a neighbor down the street had his house decorated with several rolls of TP. Must have been yelling at neighborhood kids. They don't forget stuff like that.

When I take trash out, I'll set the jack-o-lantern on the dumpster so squills can load up on pumpkin. Kids across the street sat theirs out too early, and squills chewed the faces off. I think it's humorous, but wifey doesn't. Well, squills gotta eat, too! SW

neighbor lady has goats, so she sent out a neightborhood fakbook post asking for discarded pumpkins,
her chickens seem to like them too,

called the wife after the show to see if she had any show up, doubt it, since she was supposed to shut the house up and go upstairs

at a very small show, VGCA (Va Gun Collectors Assn)
lots of good stuff, and some good displays,
    and good sales too

      Day or so late here.
Was out of town investigating grouse, so can't say much on the Halloween trick or treater front.
We're in a security building, and the kids can't get in anyways.
On the grouse front, the general rifle deer season has started, so de-nada.
All my mostly deaf ears could pick up out there was mostly .30 cals going off, and quads buzzing around.
      No shooting opportunities at all.
Seen 5 very flighty birds, and two of them were Sharptails.

Far enough out in the woods we don't get Halloween moochers.

All that target shooting might be discouraging for them as well, depending upon where the targets are placed.

Signage along the driveway helps. Whatta Hobby!

              Nice.

Strange how everyone seems to think that doesn't apply to them. Some may need more convincing.
