    Saturday 11/8

    taking a day off ,
since I have shows the next 4 weekends,

gonna head up to apple and wine country, get some fresh heirloom apples, and maybe have a stop or 2 at the local wineries,

and lunch at brewhouse that does good GF meals,

75 or so and sunny today, will be an absolutely lovely day

Very windy here... again. I've some leaves that need transplanted into the dumpster, but I'm not messing with those for a couple weeks. In theory, they will all be fallen by then. When I took Flop Ears for our usual 0400 short hike, I noticed several guys wearing orange into mini-mart. Hmmm... must be deer season. I've been seeing a couple nice bucks where we go to leave footprints, but they weren't there this morning. Yep! Deer season. I used to go every year but anymore I only shoot a few doves and the occasional turk.

The spirit is willing - the knees... not so much. I'm not sure what I'll do today - goofing off is at the top of the list. SW

I gave up deer hunting in the mini-mart--very slim pickings.

        Day later.

What fishing looks like a week ago at Selkirk.
I caught, but did not land a huge Sturgeon. It broke my +5 y/o Stren branded 20 lb braid.
25 F this a.m., and still no idea what to do. Should probly get on the bike for a few miles. I'll wait a bit for it to warm up a little first.
The rifle season insanity is in full swing here.
May try a little geographic cure later in the week for some grouse.
