Saturday catching up thread - and coffee for most

I actually meant to mow the lawn, but it snowed yesterday. Didn't stick, of course but too wet to fire up the mower. Oh, darn - I'll just have to think about it. I did score a mower blade sharpener and should pull the blade to grind off the nicks.

Dear granddaughter still wants a ride. Her mom said she'd co-sign for her, but she has to get a job first. No job yet, so no ride.

Still cooler so I'll score a rack of piggy ribs since the oven won't overheat the house. I go for the low & slow in the over bit for ribs. I know lots of people do ribs on the grill or smoker, but I like how they turn out in the oven just fine. SW

    90+ here today, and sunny
    may rain tomorrow,

got up , drove to Yorktown, bought guns, drove to our store in Kilmarnock, dropped off guns, picked up some more guns to bring back to my side of the shop,
hit the Amish ladie's table in our alley for some stuff, then stopped at a seafood shop for dinner fixins,
then got home and went to vote (redistricting, voted no, would have voted hell no, but that was not an option)

now, surfing, a bit bit and getting ready to start dinner

Snowed here thur-fri. Dunno what to call it- a mix of freezing rain, ice pellets, and a handful of snowflakes to boot.
Currently 29F here right now, and most of what we got has melted.
Did a big picnic shoulder ham in the oven this morning. Did her simple at 320F for 3.5 hrs- 325 for the last half hour. Very simple cooking brine of pineapple juice, and 2 cans of pineapple slices pinned to every exposed surface with tooth picks. We gonna be eating a lot of ham sand witches for the next few days. Turned out real nice.

Starting to get a lot of the drive me here-drive me there from Mrs. and grandson. I don't mind that much, if I have just a little advance notice. Also please time it so's I'm not driving in rush hour traffic all the time.

With wifey's vision issues, I'm also getting in a lot of chauffeur time. Which I'm happy to do! Fam were all here for Sunday night carry in. Mucho hilarity and emptying of the cookie jar! SW

was supposed to rain a lot,

seems it did, all around us,

we got 10 minutes of water, basically if you took a gallon bucket and tossed it in the air

as in enough to get stuff wet, but not that wet,,
