The biggy here was rain yesterday! Maybe even more today! I had yard work done beforehand, so it's going to be another lazy day. When I took trash out, I noticed a baby robin in the grass. A whole nest of them are learning fundamentals of flight... this one might not get a passing grade. Picked it up and set it on the fence. It took off again but promptly landed right back in in the grass. Flop Ears sniffed but didn't bite. Robin parents were going bonkers trying to keep track of the other 3 .(maybe 4)

I think the older robins are getting premature grey feathers. SW

Hampton VA Gunshow weekend,

decent day, tho slower than the last 2 in this venue,

hall next door has a East Coast Punk Rock Flea Market,
with live music,

show ended at 5, punk show at 7 so I coughed up $10 to get in and did a walk around

disappointed, no idea what the local band playing was called, but they were OK,

other than the dude selling some CD's that I bought

could have gotten a henna temp tattoo, or hit up one of the 6 or so tattoo dudes that were inking up people,
the rest of the vendors were either older than I , or younger, and selling junk

couple goth types, which are not really punk



having said all this, nothing in the building related to any punk band I like,

no Black Flag, Sex Pistols, PiL, Circle Jerks etc, except for a CD or 2 that I did not have,


was out in 20 minutes

Been retired 10 yrs this Dec. Don't remember when it happend, but used to listen to music and conservative talk shows in the morning going and coming from work in tbe evening. (75 mi round trip) eventually just talk shows. Didn't enjoy music as much, didn't know why.

Then I got my hearing aides. I was slowly losing my ability to hear, understand, and enjoy music. THEN I knew why; speech recognition was only 67%. Loudness was ok, but adjusted to hear best destroyed what makes music enjoyable. Sunday on AM; no talk shows, only people selling vitamins, liquids, stocks, get out'a your time share. FM alernate big band, and classical my 67% works ok.
