    Do stupid stuff

Win stupid prizes. Yesterday had daughters dogs. Dog trying to dig under old pos shed to get at rat. I had a treated pole just leaning against shed. Laid it down to keep dog from digging. Butttttt, did I stand it back up later?? Nooooooo, of course not. Went out to shed couple of hours ago and naturally I stepped right on top of pole. Straight down on my butt. Notice blood on shorts. Left thumb ripped. Seems there is a screw head sticking up out of pole.49EF73E8-D1E3-43D8-A0CD-6696BBF7212C.jpg58C5F7D0-B3DE-4730-A317-3333FE22CC7C.jpg

I like Brother Lyman’s advice. Although I washed a bunch of dirt out of it.

            more seriously-
            I hate when that happens.

Blood everywhere and I have to figure out what part of me is bleeding.

Really don’t mind the stitches. I hate the part where I was a dumbass.
Doc put me on antibiotics. Wound was packed with dirt,etc..

                  Good luck.

It could have happened in a worse place though, like the top of your head where there's no meat between the scalp and skull. I can think of other worse places too.

And, it could have happened in a better place, like someone else's body.

I am thankful I didn’t break anything. Still doesn’t excuse the stupid.

Not quite that bad but a long time ago I went into the storage shed in my garage and stepped flat down on the working end of a grubbing hoe. Course it flipped up and hit me right solid in the head. I staggered around a spell and could not remember exactly why I'd gone in there to start with. Dern near knocked me out.

I don't remember the details but on a very old episode of The Simpson's there was a man terrorizing the neighborhood using a board with a nail in it. Everyone was running from him being scarred of his weapon.

Happens to all of us at one time or another. Usually the first thing you do afterward is look around to see if anyone saw you.

My first thought was” you dumbass”. Told nurse that at 65 years old one would think I know better. No alcohol involved, so I didn’t have that excuse.
