    House projects

Ceramic backsplash. Latest job at my Florida place. My Dad was a ceramic contractor. So I have some working knowledge. I did forget one thing. Square and rectangular tile much easier than this stuff. Something I knew but over time forgot.

      Ditto, nice.

Good thing you can do it yourself. Finding someone competent enough to do most anything is a big ordeal and if you can find someone they think they are doctors (as in what they charge).

Most of the really good tradesmen are working on new houses. Hard to believe how much this area is blooming.
We are doing most of the work ourselves. Slow go. But we are doing everything right, no shortcuts.

I'd be a little proud of myself if I'd done that.

Lyman, I definitely could. But right now wouldn’t have time. Plus I kinda like being unemployed right now. That could change I reckon.
Actually if I could be your part time helper and be paid in guns and ammo?

I got a leaky faucet in my big bathroom that needs replacing. Maybe I'll get to it eventually.

Faucet replacements take three trips to the hardware store.

                          change of subject-
doesn't seem worth starting a new thread over this

I recently saw my 1st advertisement for a corded thatcher.
While a rake would be the way to go and my usual 1st choice, my lungs simply aren't up to it. I still run short of breath just walking out to the mailbox and back. I found several models of these things online for $150 and under and one really seems like the way to go. The price is less than I'd expect to pay for someone to come out to come out and do the work for me and my lawn is in serious need. Close to three years of neglect can have that effect on a patch turf that hasn't had a thatcher on it in 35 years.
                          to the point-
Has/does anybody used/have one? I'd never even seen an ad for one before yesterday.
Maybe they've been around for awhile and I just never knew it.

Can't say as I blame you.
I put off swapping out a bathroom faucet for way too long.

Finally got it done buying (and waiting) on Amazon.

never seen one, but never really looked either,

$129 on amazon seems to work well in the Vid,

I went to Lowe's and picked up everything I think I'll need. But there's an ACE Hardware close by if I need them. Probably start on it tomorrow if I can find my tubing cutter. If not that will be my first trip to ACE.
