went thru a saved some series recommended to us on apple by a friend, but have not watched any yet to recommend

I've been watching the Witcher, which is slow, but ok, kinda a game of thrones wanna be vibe, of sorts

still digging Pluto, and starting to learn some of the channels free on Samsung TV,

will be picking up a few months (only 7 days free trial) on Britbox or Acorn TV,
wife wants to rewatch the last bit of Doc Martin (seasons 1 thru 6 are free) but 7 thru 10 require payment,
I may just cough up the cash for each season ( thru amazon, I have some gift cards) so we can watch it whenever

Wifey got started on "The Mick" - it's pretty wild. I mostly watch YT vids while she does that but check in for the major drama. SW

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (season 2) premier episode / Utube.
While I watched the original series whenever I had the chance, it was more a case of watching what's on, rather than being a true 'Trekkie'. That's just the way things worked back then.

Show wasn't bad, as these things go. There's some wokeness in everything anymore. I don't think Hollyweird can help itself but they didn't come across as trying to push the boundaries with this particular episode. What I truly enjoyed was discovering Carol Kane had a role. The name might not bring back memories but you'll recognize the actress and the voice as soon as she opens her mouth.

                    no spoilers...
You'll either watch the show and draw your own conclusions or you won't.

                    I did my part.

Season 2 Ep 1 was on pluto last night,

Season 1 is on pluto on demand,

decent episode, I do have some questions on how some things were done, but those can wait,

tho it does seem that Starfleet was all brown males and lots of women,

                        saving this one for later...
(Mutant) Ghost War Girl / YouTube - looks like it just dropped today, (ie: recent effort) - Chinese / sub-titled
                        set in 2077 Korea

                        1st impression, 10 minutes in...
China showing off their CG capabilities with none of the crap Hollywood, Disney, etc are determined to shove down our throats.
I'm willing to bet I can get to the end of this without seeing any rainbow flags, open border advertisements or morbidly obese people claiming to be oppressed. The girls will be cute, not trying to date each other and Al Sharpton... nowhere to be found.

I tried watching the first season when I had Paramount+ and couldn't get through it.

ditto on the questions / parts of it seemed... implausible (lazy writing?)

                            just watched season 1 episode 1 ,

I know who Mbenga is, he was a doc in TOS,, but not the head guy,,,

                            why?

and a few other time line glitches that are a bit disturbing if you think too hard, like Kirk's Dad,,,

I tried the first couple episodes of Strange New Worlds last year and just couldn't get into it, not due really to any wokeness, it was there but mild, but because...... I dunno. I think part was because some of the parts of Picard were off a bit and I didn't feel like saying "hey wait a minute, that aint right.." to myself while watching it.

I dumped Discovery in season 3 I think because the wokeness was WAY THE xxxx over the top.

Maybe when nothing else is on and I've caught up with programs I record I'll give SNW a shot again.

just finished episode 3, and it still seems off,

                                esp the Spock Character,

and the crew quarters make the Enterprise D look tiny
