    Food cravings

Is it just me, or do we all have "cravings" for certain foods periodically?
For me it's usually Branston Pickles, Marmite, extra sharp cheddar cheese, tuna salad (not all together), but today I woke up with a strange new one Belgian fried potatoes!
I used to love them & had a favorite vendor, apparently he used goose fat to fry them in. But that was 40 years ago! It was very specific, just cooking frozen fries wasn't it, a trip to mickey D's wasn't even on the table. It had to be actual "Frites", nothing else would do!
I don't mean "Ohh! That would be nice for dinner" but a much stronger nagging need that won't go away till it's sated!
I kind of assume it's my body lacking in something in my diet & it's applying corrective action.

    I don't get that way.

Are you getting your vitamins and electrolytes? Talked to your doctor about this?
No issues with gout or pre-diabetic indicators I hope.

        Yes, yes & nope.
I do take a daily all in one multivitamin but its just a prophylactic thing.
AFAIK my hormones are fine. I'm lucky enough to be one of those disgustingly healthy old codgers.
The only issue I have, apart from allergies to penicillin & shellfish is blood pressure which is well controlled.
Oh & I'm not preggers either

          ...you've already professed to cravings

I believe you also alluded to a hatred for blood pressure, referring to a "need to control". I'll assume medications are involved.
Do the labels carry any 'boxed' warnings? Is there a possibility of interactions brought on by a change in environmental conditions?
Are you now or have you recently been thirsty?

You're aware that most of the people who started eating tomatoes before crossing the Atlantic and landing at Ellis Island are dead now
Very, very few of them lived past 100, 110 tops.

            just sayin...

              one more thing...

Drop a goldfish into a glass of tomato juice and the goldfish will die.
              (don't actually do this)

conclusion: Tomato juice will not support life.
              Tomatos kill.

Nah B/P is & has been under control for a couple of years now. Not sure where the "hate" bit comes from though.
Its not a new thing, the cravings, I've had it my whole life.

That's why people throw tomatoes at politicians or bad singers. They're trying to kill them.

Once upon a time people thought tomatoes were poisonous.

The acid in tomatoe ketchup is strong enough to clean the tarnish off of brass.

One of my past co-workers had a recipe for tomato gravy that was good spread over biscuits.

The warnings have been out there. Does anybody listen?

Yes. We eat tomato's but we kill them first.
