    Coffee today?

Thought I'd take a chance and see if we do this on here. Not much to say - just chores around the place. But anyhow, how y'all doing?

Nice weather here along the Gulf Coast. Have a lot of outside stuff to do. Maybe a few more cups of coffee and I will at least venture out.

It's great to be retired. I think someone told me today is Saturday.

      G'Morning.
I'm always up for a morning cup.

It's nice having the worst of Winter behind us.
Yardwork's my priority as well. Lawn project is moving along. Managed to trim off some lower fruit tree branches last week and drag them off near the wood pile. Rabbits didn't do me any good last Winter. Heavy, wet snow that pushed everything to the ground also pushed things down to where the voles and bunnies could snack on the bark, and they took advantage of that rather than gnaw on the tougher trunks. Did I mention hating voles?
      anyway...

Neighborhood foot traffic on the road out front is getting to be more of a thing each year.
Can't say as I blame people any. I have a nice view. The house is nothing to brag on but the view is nice.

      sunrise goes like this-

          pretty much the same view
different season and time of day but you get the idea

I took both shots from the end of the driveway.
(short driveway) I'm sitting on a 1 acre lot with neighbors behind me.

Well, at least you don't have to be screwing around with a 19 year old Craftsman riding lawn mower, or pulling ticks.

I don't have enough lawn to justify the expense of a riding mower.
We do have ticks, though. They're not as bad as they can be in other parts of the country but they're out there.

This was probably the actual view but the dim light blocked the view of the buildings.

Large Arkansas Delta Mosquitos are worse, in my opinion, than Ticks. The Mosquitos up here in the Ozarks are smaller, more docile, and easier to kill.

That don't stop people here. They mostly live in new homes with NO yard--maybe a 10' strip around the house. Their $50k Lexus, $70k Silverado and $40k ski boat sit in the weather while their garages are packed full of yard sale type stuff along with a $15k zero turn mower. After foreclosure different people occupy the same home. Everything looks the same except for the name on the mail box. This repeats over and over.

That's a wall hanger right there.
                      Nice shot.

I'll stick with the pests I've got.
High desert, Great Basin bugs aren't too hard to deal with. There just aren't that many of them.

I'm not too far outside of Reno.

Honesty is in short supply nowadays.

Early morning fishing trip out in the Gulf. Only thing accomplished was freezing our butts off. Very under dressed for the occasion. One of those situations where it was warm in town but out in the wide open spaces north wind was chilly.

Have you looked at the cordless models?
