    end of April Coffee thread

I'm half tempted to start this on the main board but coffee's coffee.
This could be a good opportunity to see who all's made the jump.
So, what's up people? Any plans for the weekend that don't involve posting selfies?

Dallas - St. Louis rain train came through this morning. Usually on a weekly schedule on Thursdays, but again today. Too wet to do much of anything.

Its a combined birthday for Ma Fushigi (91) and Sister #2 (70). Given my family can't plan their way out of a paper bag, this will be interesting.

Give them an extra hug just for the heck of it.
None of us will be around forever.

Working on Florida house. The never ending project. Indoor work as rain is moving in. Weather has been super. Kicked the ac on a little. Mostly open the windows and enjoy fresh air. Nice thing down here is that unless your neighbor is mowing, one can open the windows without house filling up with dirt. Unlike back home in Arkansas. Pompano are running but I haven’t taken off from working to go. Was over in Pensacola yesterday and went by the big beer wine booze store. HUGE selection of beer. Picked up two six packs to carry back to Arkansas. Me and cousin go fishing and we both try to bring something new in the way of beer.

Messing about with some old & new C.B. radios.
Cobra 29LTD~ST for the wheels & an old, but nice RS TRC 241 with Weather Alerts, for a hand held.
Looking good so far rejuvenating the neglected LiIon batt pack, but I have an "AA" tray that takes rechargeable "AA"s if it doesn't. The "dummy Battery" used with Primary 1.5 V is long gone but I have 15A Cartridge fuses that sub well.
There's a better antenna on its way as the supplied "Rubber Duckies" suck & a decent remote speaker/mic package that gives Vox if I want it, or can switch to PTT if I don't.

Was hoping someone would start this,

I saw the YW Coffee this morning but, thought... we have a new Minefield so, that is the place.

Spent the day doing yardwork; mowing, cleaning beds, planting and mulching. I'm wore out but will relax tomorrow.

                    Coffee's coffee.
I woke up 3AM this morning and slept a little after that, but got dressed at 5, put coffee on then, put the dog out and fed her. Deck was wet, but it hadn't rained much, and it sprinkled off and on all day. I ended up putting grub killer on the lawn, hoping to discourage the moles. Nothing else has worked for the last 5 years. Best year was a while back with new (free to a good home cat). In the 1st month I found 4 dead of unknown causes. He cleaned up the mouse problem too. He was the best small mammal sheriff I ever had.
I had checked here earlier today, but there was no thread posted yet, and I had other things planned for today anyway.

If you are referring to the cat catching the moles I've had similar experiences. Use to have cat that would bring everything she killed and place it on my back steps as a gift. This included snakes and parts of mice/rats. She would kill moles but not eat any part of them. They would be placed on the steps w/o a mark on them.

I spent part of my day eliminating vole runs and baiting burrows.
                        Irritating voles brings me comfort.
