    Coffee, May 6th

Let's get the Coffee going people!

On my second cup. Took the day off yesterday to mow the banks of my driveway and cut down bushes/briars in an attempt to keep the jungle at bay. It was supposed to rain today but, looks like we may have a nice day here in SW VA. When I get motivated I may go finish up by doing my regular mowing.

Good luck with that. I have to mow between rain showers. With a 2 acre yard it's better for me to over mow than to under mow and things (weeds) get out of hand. With our rain and warm climate here that growth happens quickly. Also a big user of line trimmers, saws and hedge trimmers. Roundup helps more than anything involving trim work. Except for December and January I have to use it year round.

Also on my second cup. Will start the second pot shortly.

      1st cup here.
Pacific time zone means I start later than most.

I might have more to say once I start on my second.

Best to never stop, then you don't ever have a first or second cup.

Something along the lines of an IV drip line?

Watched the tail end of the Coronation - streamed by ABC. Course not watched ABC at all since 2016. Kept it on mute most of the time due to the vapid goofy American reporters. Could not avoid the closed captioning which took up a lot of space. Kind of made me sad - re: the quality of the reporting - mostly diversity and inclusion appeared to be the only thing on their wee minds. Other than that it was probably a once in a life time event. I was 2 when Elizabeth II was crowned.

Exactly, even if it is Foldgers Crystals instant coffee.

I recorded the whole 4 hours of it on the BBC channel, then FF through most of it. Those Brits know how to throw a party. Things sure aren't the same w/o the queen.

My younger son called from Idaho this morning, told me he's not watching the Derby. Turns out he's sweet on a girl who's attending.
I told him I'm not watching the English coronation, then asked him if his GF made it past the trials.

I don't think he appreciated my question.
                    He really likes that girl.

hung or rather rehung a ceiling fan and found out the water (had a bit of a leak upstairs, and the water came thru the ceiling via the ceiling fan) kilt dead the controller,
so ordered a new one, hopefully that will be a quick and easy swap,

headed out to dinner, nice trendy foodie joint,
bakery next door, so may pop in there too if they are open,

I keep up with world events. I don't study them but like to know what is happening.

Glad to see the UK still has a monarchy even though it is an expense for the taxpayers and isn't what it used to be. Good for moral to keep tradition.
