We have casino's here (Biloxi) but they just look like regular buildings with very large rooms. There's one that's pirate ship themed but never went in it. It doesn't really matter because you can't see anything for the cigarette smoke anyway. After an hour or two in one of those things I feel like my lungs have been torched.

Haven't been in one for a few years but I suspect the smoking hasn't changed. I believe they are declared as private property (they're actually in the water) so smoking laws may not apply. All I know is my lungs won't take it.

Circus Circus had ashtrays at the machines and folks smoking,

as a non smoker, it was noticeable,

did not notice such at any of the other casinos, and we walked thru a handful of them up and down that part of the strip,

Wife and I went to go eat at the casino at the Greenville Bridge.(Mississippi River) We had heard food was good. We walked in and walked right into a heavy fog of cigarette smoke. And we walked right out. This was several years ago. Dunno if it’s still like that.

I'm pretty sure all the Indian casinos here in Oklahoma are non-smoking, but some could have smoking areas.

Just the top floor with a chimney so they can make smoke signals.

We have an Indian casino here in lower Alabama. Ate there once (not too good), machines were on the same ground floor. Didn't notice any smoke but didn't go to any on the other floors. Ceiling was very high and may have had better ventilation. Big difference from the ones in Biloxi.

Food goes downhill when accounting rules the management meetings.
Originally, everything was in support of drawing customers in and keeping them 'in house' until their money was gone.
Food and drink, show lounge acts, rooms, health clubs etc. ...all had a common purpose. Once the various departments have to prove their worth by showing a profit, corners get cut, shortcuts are taken and department heads are at each others throats instead of pulling together to make the customers happy.

You can see and feel the difference. ...it's the food.
It's how clean the carpet is, blown light bulbs, general shabbiness, less than helpful staff and... smoke levels.
It shouldn't be noticeable. It doesn't have to be.

DD, apples and oranges but in the paper making industry the bean counters rule over every aspect. Saw it happen in real time.

The similarity here might be in businesses losing sight of their core values, what makes them profitable.
Just like you don't turn a business over to accountants or lawyers, you don't let the DE&I crowd run things.

Sounds like AB with the queer beer commercial.

I'd imagine there's people in a boardroom somewhere wishing they'd stuck with selling beer.

Target, Chick Filet, North Face... it's like somebody behind the scenes is waving a checkbook around.
                      ...or threatening stock-holders first born

You would think but it looks like they WANT to go queer all the way. Remember, the AB CEO never made any apologizes or admitted wrong doing.
