After this all new student loans should end.
These loans are unsecured and the "kids" have shown their intentions to not pay. On top of that they haven't been required to make payments since Covid broke out. Now they still have till October to start back.
The % rate is really low and the borrrowers have ample time to re-pay. There is no reason to not pay.
Back in the day when I went to college I applied for a loan to keep some of the hardship off of my parents. The loan was denied because my parents made too much money. I thought way back then what a backasswards way of banking---they're giving preference to people they feel can't pay back.
In the future all loans should have collateral.
