Broke down and bought a new upper,

getting back into Service Rifle shooting, after a long absense (went from shooting 10 or more matches a year to 1 if I was lucky, due to work)

now if I don't have a gunshow scheduled, I am generally off on Saturdays, so I have been shooting a few matches,

with very old and cobbled together rifles,

so broke down and bought a new White Oak CMP type 20 inch upper,
    and a rail extension,

    and a scope on backorder,

meanwhile, I have a couple of scopes I can make do with until the other one comes in ,

the old saying is you cannot buy points by buying equipment, however my equipment is not that good (it was mediocre 20 yrs ago, and I knew it then)

hopefully will have it next week and can work up a load before the august match

A workman is only as good as his tools.
Enfield, everything else is just a rifle. Unless it's a Garand.

Well, that's better than when I ordered a Shilen barrel for my Savage Model 11. I ordered it in February and got it last week.
