Its my sad duty to let you all know we lost one of our own today.
SDigger has passed on & ridden into the sunset.
”SDigger /Sgonger” has passed on & ridden into the sunset. [Edited} apparently “DD” Is not who I thought he was & is alive & well. My apologies for any confusion I caused. Steve was “SDigger & SGonger”. He was not in any way connected to DD, who was apparently a good friend of his&is still hale & hearty, again, my apologies.
He was a real live rootin' tootin' cowboy, not one of the new breed of game management techs with the Jetrangers & 4X4s. I was proud & honored to call him "cobber".

am very sad to tell you all that Steve Durand (SDigger) passed away today in Provo Hospice in Moab Utah at 11.30am MDT.
Steve had very much kept to himself that he had stage 4 cancer that had metastasized to his brain. Up until a week ago he was working his cattle in the Canyon Lands near Robber's Roost Ranch, Utah.
His beloved niece Cara said:
?I just got the call from my sister and we are sorry to say Uncle Steve is riding his horse in the sky. He is reunited with his parents, our Mom and Noely now. To know Cowboy Steve was to love him. He would teach you anything you ever wanted to know, even about yourself.
He would never go back to the land he loved Australia as he would never leave his 3 nieces behind here. His heart was on Ekker Ranch in Utah and that is where he will forever lay to rest.
That is Cowboy Steve's spot forever.
To our family in Australia, he was truly the happiest being reunited with everyone. Thank you all for the love to him. He was such an amazing man.
The last damn cowboy in Moab?.
+++++++++
It was my privilege to call Steve a friend, and I am honoured to have known him. I will miss you terribly mate.
