January thaw is here, snow and ice is melting! Next ten days temps in the 40 and 50's! I see today [Sunday] some of you are having a blizzard, I feel for you. All we are expecting is some light rain with fog.

Last week was really nice. Thursday it rained a little. It got cold that night. Friday it rained some all day. Saturday was really cold. Sunday was sunny and a little cool and breezy. Today it's going to warm up a little. I'll probably do a little yard work on the tree. I've got to pick up a few things at the store and I might get lunch at Wendys on the way back.
If I should die before I wake...great,a little more sleep.

Why would he bother? He has reams of biased/falsified data he's been collecting ever since he invented carbon credits.

That's not good. If it warms up too fast the earth will crack. You should hope it goes back down to about -10 and then slowly creeps up so IA doesn't get the bends.

Freeze/thaw cycles are brutal on city streets. Melt gets into the road bed through cracks and expands at the next freeze cycle.

Some of the local streets are worse then off road in my Jeep. Idiots keep going way too fast and hitting the pot holes, going to be expensive for them and $ for the garage or to replace tires/rims. It seems people are getting stupider every day, going about in shorts and a heavy coat doesn't make sense to me. Local weather people said in our AO up and down temps with snow, verrrry interesting! I have been wearing a black duster for two years and it has proved very versatile. I layer up when it is cold and it is 100% wind and water proof, best investment that I have made in all weather gear.

NOAA has the county and area under a winter storm warning from 2200-1600, 2+"snow and 1/4" ice. Sure glad ASPLUNDH came thru a few weeks ago and cut/trimmed trees. AEP now has a contractor in my AO putting in new poles/lines as the stuff out here is 40-60 years old. Daughter had a concert to go to tomorrow, don't look like she will get out now. I expect our Sheriff will put us under a level three starting in the wee hours. Oh well, one day closer to spring. Ten years ago on Valentines day our area got hit by a blizzard that took out power for awhile...oh joy!
