I haven't taken a lot of time to reflect on that. But....pitching has been a problem for baseball since day one. Just another set of problems. The unfair advantage is what the public will pay for concessions. Six dollars is the major league average for a beer. Yet the Cubs just jacked it up to $13 for a can of Bud Light and they're getting it! Multiply that by 30 to 40k per game and you've got a pitchers salary right there.
One of Red's predictions that didn't come true

Is it least a 16 oz can for $13?
BTW my sister in Milwaukee said playoff tickets were sky high and the the Cubs lost & prices came down. She says the Miller Park season ticket holders like to gouge Cubs fans which explains the attendance situation when the Cubs are in town. There is border friction but the teams themselves keep it professional and I think that is a good thing.Comment

Milwaukee and Chicago being so close, and the Brewers starting in the AL meant a lot of NL Cubs fans in beertown. I'm sure some of that fondness is still there. It has always been a baseball friendly town. I spent a lot of time at the old Mil Co. Stadium back in the 80's. I could drive up for a game on Thursday after work and be on time for the job on Friday morning. After all, when the AL choice is Brewers or White sox..... I will admit going to Comiskey to see AL teams in town. Things are better these days with inter-league play.
Watching the Yankees game. They (announcers) just reminded me that the A's had the one of the lowest payrolls in the majors. The A's are in the ALWC game. Low payroll-smart shopping?
Speaking of the A's, Whenever I see Lucroy, in my mind he's still a Brewer
2016 Chicago Cubs. MLB Champions!
