What is being shot down?

#2 and #3 " objects shot down were announced (by the pilots) as cylinder shaped and octagonal shaped------no more mention of these.

It looks like there will never be any mention as to what these were. The pilots are probably in hot water for even describing what they looked like.

They aren't from outer space. It's hard to get ballons to go down. I kind of wonder why they don't all go out into space, but it probably has something to do with gravity. Sort of like the salt and peppers shakers on the table. They don't fall through the table and they don't levitate off the table either. Ballons are elastic. They can expand to a certain limit and then they blow up. I'm sure some kid is studying all this. I should study this, it's kind of cool.

If #2 and #3 are just balloons why all the hush? They certainly made a big enough fuss over #1 (which the Chinese admit to) and #4 (toy) which may be a cover up or distraction.

How many more "whatever's" are being shot down and not disclosed since it's suddenly become top secret?
