Get this now, in spite of all that's happened IRAN has their list of demands for a cease fire.

It looks like the only peace with Iran will come when/if there is NO Iran.

I watched a pretty decent video today. It's an hour and a half. They are saying that the operation will begin this weekend and involve taking some islands tright around the Strait of Hormuz, that Kharg is a good place to lose a lot of men for nothing. It's a pretty technical discussion between two Americans. The Saudi guy doesn't really get much of a word in except at the end, where he says the US has gotten into a no-win situation and the war will end when and how Iran decides.

      Of course our
troops will win once the fighting starts, but when they do, they'll be on a small island. If command is smart, they'll do as much damage as they can, kill all the enemy, raise the flag, take some pictures and then split. What they are saying in the video. My own thoughts are running along the way of "Anzio, one more time."

My thoughts as well about the islands. Iran is still launching plenty of drones and missiles with many of them getting through. The soldiers on those islands could be sitting ducks.

Iran needs to be snuffed out completely first.

Regular was $5.09 this morning at the cheap place near where I live. It's pushing toward $6.00 at the main line stations. I bought a couple hundred shares of Chord Oil early last week, it's up $40 since then. Chord is the company that ate Whiting and some of the other players in the Bakken oil field.

I just sent off a thoughts and prayers letter to an Airman that I kind took under my wing when he was a kid. Told him we all want him to come home in one piece.

I pray nightly for the young men and women that now stand in harm's way and all those that support them.

As a retired wingnut, what does your young man do in the AF?

That was quite an operation to rescue the WSO from that shot down F-15! US forces built an actual forward operating base IN Iran not far from a major city and used a decrepit ag runway for logistics. Also a lot of deception to draw Iranians away from the officer. We lost 2 x C-130sand a helo or 2? Meh. In an operation like that, all equipment is expendable!

                Go USA! SW

I'm going against the grain here. From what I'm seeing and reading I'm going to say Trump caved on the cease fire. He dug his self into a hole with all the annihilation threats that was coming to Iran. With 91 million people the bombs don't just kill the bad ones. Trump jumped at the first opportunity to bail out and now he is being praised up and down. Apparently no one has viewed the 10 point list of conditions attached to the ceasefire.

The list of "demands" have changed little since the war began on what THEY want from the U.S. I don't see a single one of these "wants" being doable.

The Straight of Hormuz is an international waterway. No one can legally claim it but of course Iran has been and charges $2M passage per ship. Trump has agreed to let this ride with the charges being reduced to only $1M per ship and Iran is still making threats on anyone who doesn't pay or secure permission.. Why isn't anyone complaining about this, not just over the money but history of how Iran runs things?

Today is a 180 degree difference from yesterday on the world's stance on Iran. I guess next we'll pay for all the destruction and give everyone there reparations.

Maybe I'm missing something. Perhaps a lot.

Now the same news networks are claiming this isn't entirely true though they are the ones who reported it.

What p#$$*$ me off is"unconditional surrender" is NOT a negotiated deal. It should not be over until WE have our arms around all the nucldar mayerial. Just burying it and saying it's done is stupidity of the highest caliber.

No matter what the woke medoa and Socialist Democrats say about why we got on the war, ot was to stop muslim Iran from using their nuclear weapons on the world and specifically the American devil.

Did we not learn anything from Viet Nam? There should be no bombing pauses. AND you don't say next Tues we'll bomb the power plants and oil production. Say uncle or we keep on unabated.

CNN broadcast an article about Trump caving to Iran... Guess what? It was fake news and they had to retract it. As far as what's actually happening there, many of the hard liners have gone to see Allah. The group largely in charge are moderates greatly favoring an end to the fighting - and getting their collective butts bombed back to the stone age. The big problem is so-called war lords who refuse to give up no matter the harm to their country and citizens.

It will take a bit to sort the matter, but I sincerely look for a peaceful resolution. SW

                        Just like clockwork !!!

The cease fire has been extended AGAIN and again not till the eleventh hour. After a 2 week extension of Iran making threats and saying they would not be attending any more meetings the Pakistanians, who are protecting their muslim brotherhood have pleaded that Iran, with their fractured leadership needed some more time to "think". This loss of government has not been keep them quiet the past 2 weeks though.

Now while the 2 week break has no doubt been benificial to the U.S. to re-supply and make repairs Iran has used it for their game plan as well.

Since Iran has no cards to play they are playing some of Trumps bad cards against him knowing he has limited time with the mid-terms approaching and from what I read after 60 days a president has to ask for additional funds from congress. This is a conflict and not a declared war so congress will not approve any money toward it plus the democrats would vote against any and all actions that would help the U.S.

Iran is playing Trump like a fiddle.
