Bula Defense Systems XM21 87

Receiver just came in today for another project.
XM21 will be fitted with a Wolfe 18.5" Fluted chrome lined barrel.
Majority of small parts will be Bula.
Stock is walnut USGI which I finished over the last few months.
Can't wait to get started. Maybe this weekend.

Sorry Randy, that is just one of Sparrowhawk's faux kits. It attaches to the stock and not the receiver. Looks pretty authentic though. Made with all USGI parts. I use them to fill the hole in the stock.

Getting ready to test accuracy on #87. With 8 - 12" of snow left on the ground and a crust on top of that , it took awhile to clear things around my shooting position. Took the loader out on the range to make some tracks for walking in.
Ready for a nap and its only 10:15 am.

Got out and ran 87 through her paces. Found that I am going to have to load specifically for this shorter barrel. Dropped 200 fps over a 22". Not a real problem, but an observation.

Progress in accuracy. Agent 87 seems to prefer 175 gr Federal GMM over all other fodders tried to this point. Just to eliminate other variables she is resting in a JAE Gen III stock and is quite happy. Today's weather prompted me to get out and get er done. Managed a 1.6" 10 rnd group at 100 yards. I am pleased with the function of the 18.5 " Wolfe fluted chrome lined barrel. I did add a Schuster bored and vented gas plug today just for the heck of it. Chrono at 2560.
