Correct other than the cast aftermarket receivers built up with surplus parts after WW2. I've read were junk but I have no first hand experience.

Springfield Armory (Mass., not Genesseo, Ill.), Rock Island Arsenal(Ill.,not Rock Island Armory, Phillipines)
, and Remington made M1903s; Remington and Smith Corona made the M1903A3. Remington made the M1903A4.

Late Remington M1903s also had "Hatcher" holes; A number were added to Marine M1903s and some were added to earlier SA/RIA rifles, as well.

The Marines started to explore the idea of Hatcher holes in July 1938. In August 1938 they sent a Master Guns to SA to observe how SA was doing it. That is also about the same time as they ordered the fixtures and tools from SA to drill the hatcher and also enlarge/drill the gas hole in the bolt.
