Johnny P, Mr. Beard, et al,
I know this is not an original as-issued 1903.
AFAIK, it is an accurate representation of what it is:
-Arsenal refurbished (RIA over RK, in box, possibly late war-to-immediate post-war since Frank Krack retired in 1946).
-Re-inspected at Augusta Arsenal (probably early 1950s).
-2 proof -P- marks.
(Early 1942) Springfield Scant stock with small s in cutout, no 03A3 receiver ring cut.
-3 punch marks beneath serial number.
I will add that the pictures are not mine.
I will take better pictures once I bring it home.
Thanks.

Colors May Not Be Accurate, Due to Photography.
Again, Not My Pictures.

Does Anyone Know Who -O- Was at Augusta Arsenal?

Initially, I thought this was an R but now, I see it as a P with a divot in the wood, giving the appearance of an R.
Anyone disagree?
