I thought that the current stock was some modified after market stock. Give us the details of the work you did on it with the new photos. Looking forward to the completion.

Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

None of my USMC rifles has a CC bolt in it. Most have early straight bolts or NS bolts. The ones with definite "replacement bolts" are Remington A3 bolts. A couple had un-numbered bolts but I figure they were replaced by someone else at one time as they were difinitely WWII "re-builds" and should have had numbered bolts.

I found Marine Corps RIA #342626 in a buggered chopped FJA A3 stock in a pawn shop for $250. SHT bolt with about 3 serial numbers on it, most recently to this rifle. The stippled butt plate found a new home on a RIA replacement stock(RI marked) that I had. 9-41 Sedgeley USMC barrel that although corroded a bit, will still hit a dinner plate all day long at 100yds. Her name is Margaret-Janine, and no, this Maggie don't wear no drawers!
