Also the butt swivel area had been filled in ,I was lucky to get that piece out without any stock damage ,before and after photo 20161101_184310.jpg20161102_192031.jpg

I have yet to find a Model 620A (or a military Model 620) with a serial number stamped on the mag locking lug, not saying it couldn't happen but you do see that on Model 520s from 1909 into the early 1930s and on early Model 620s from 1927 into the 1930s. Many of these earlier guns have the serial, or part of it, stamped on most of the parts. They strip out and get replaced.

Good job getting the patch out of the buttstock. Finding an original sling swivel may take some time. East Taylor LLC makes some replacement Stevens trench gun parts: http://www.partsforantiqueguns.com/Stevens_trench.html

But the sling swivel offered on their Stevens page is a Winchester style and will not fit the cut out for the flat metal plate style of the Stevens piece. Maybe someone else here has a source for an accurate reproduction. Other than that I'd keep an eye on eBay and Gun Broker. I've seen a couple parts kits from destroyed/de-milled Stevens trench guns come up for sale in the past year.

Have purchased a few products from east taylor, they seem to have good products but can not match the originals, I think the original 1903 springfield butt stock swivel will work for the trenchgun.

The checkered wood forearm is probably not correct for a late production 620 trench gun. Those are usually found on the earlier made 620 Military riot guns.

Actually, the military Thompson Sub Machine Gun sling swivel is the same. Commonly seen at gun shows.

              Savage made Tommy Guns!
Same part from the same maker.

                Schoolbd,

I agree with Tom, it looks like this 620 was pieced back together with parts from an earlier donor gun. There is an uncheckerd fore end for sale on eBay right now that would be perfect for your shotgun (1 day left): http://www.ebay.com/itm/Stevens-mode...EAAOSwHMJYFUJ6

Good catch scosgt on the Thompson sling swivels. Just make sure you get the flat stamped steel plate (with the slot cut in the loop) and not the milled piece.

If memory serves, the front swivel on the Thompson is the milled one you want - the one on the military fore end.

Lightly sanded the serial no. Area of the buttstock and the serial is barely visible which appears to be correct 2745920161105_214313-1.jpg
