See? That's why I'm shooting up the ammo I have and not buying anymore. I wonder what those rds costs in 1945.

@ Pearl, didn't the IJN use converted projectiles by attaching fins? I would think that a B-52 could carry these with ease. Can you imagine converting these into bunker busters!

No, they put wood fins on torpedo's so they would not go so deep as to hit the bottom of the harbor (which they would have done). And regular bombs, of course.You can never go home again.Comment

They stole the idea from the British who added on to theirs at Taranto. To what Sam mentioned, there were some reports about recovering some suspected converted AP projectiles which had been dropped on Battleship Row.
Not much has been said about those. Too much conflicting info I reckon?
