With your sarcasm you don't understand what I was try to say and failed...my fault. A person who is leaving this world is opening one door and closing another one. They chose where the door will lead to by how they lived and more importantly believed. Hell was not created for man but for the fallen angels. Heaven is the home of God where the believers get to spend eternity in His total love. The absence of God in my life is Hell, something I realized when I was found. A person can pray all they want to, it is no good without BELIEVING. One day I was running late for court with a client and could not find a parking place, the city garage was full as well. I thought to myself, "I need a parking space Lord." @ that moment a car pulled out on the other side of the street and I pulled in, the meter was full @ two hours so I didn't need to feed it. On the car in front of my Jeep was a sticker with the simple message, "GOD LOVES YOU" I believed therefore I got what I needed. This is not the first prayer that was answered because I BELIEVED. Paul stated that one day every knee will bow and every lip confess that JESUS IS LORD! Christmas is about gift receiving...that of eternal life not eternal damnation. Jesus Christ is what this is all about, not what is to be given.

I ask for what I need, not what I want. I try and walk in harmony with God, not alone. I can look around and see the Wonder's that I have been given to experience. Sure, science can explain it sometimes but not always. I once was going blind in my right eye, was anointed and believed. My eyesight was better then before and the physician could not explain what had happened. People ask for a sign from God, the signs are all around us if we just simply opened our hearts. I don't need to know I just need to believe as that of a child. People scoff and make fun of believers, this is due to their own fear...the fear that is felt because they are alone in this place we call earth. I walk into God's House and am rewarmed with love of my Church Family. Church is a gathering of those who believe and those who are crippled same as I am. It is home.

Science or religion? Has anyone ever stopped to notice the exact chronological happenings in both? "Let there be light", "The heavens and the stars", The earth the animals, and eventually man coming along to NAME things.
The theory of Big Bang, Darwin's theory, all parallel Genesis. What was a "day" before our little rock settled in and stabilized around a little star? The concept of the 'day' didn't come along until possibly trillions of years into the process.

Who provided the inspiration to write Genesis in terms people might comprehend at that time?

I accept the science as the *most recent plausible explanation* of how our Creator might have actually done it. As a whole we no longer believe the Earth is flat. Nor do we believe the universe revolves around us.

Added: Revelations: The corruption, persecution, slander and genocide. Disease, pestilence...what a better way to describe as the horsemen. Judgment. What happens as our world is rocked by our moon escaping orbit, the sun beginning to die in its initial predicted phases, a meteor shower or asteroid strike? Anything which will wipe out civilization as we know it without wiping out our species entirely.
How does one explain to uneducated masses the potential for astronomical disasters. Where did that inspiration come from at that time?

Sam, Allen: It could be that you're worshipping the wrong God, or the right one incorrectly. You won't know until it's too late, LOL. I could go on to explain how so many Protestant sects in the USA have completely twisted Luther's insights for their own temporal purposes, but we'll save that for another post.

JB: the ancient Hebrews had the same problem as tribes everywhere--how to bind the next generation to the tribe, by explaining who they were and where they came from. Because their written language survived, so did their story. But countless other tribes had a story too, a handful of which survive and are shown to be very different. I think it's worth remembering this, and also the fact that history is written by the victors.

Religion is a touchy subject and probably shouldn't be discussed here but I'm not worried about worshiping the wrong God and we could perhaps all worship the right God more correctly. I feel most all religions (not cults) have something to offer and something you don't quite agree with. That's why there are different faiths in the first place.

But !!!! One of the ten commandments is "Thou shalt have no other gods before me". Now while this may be something as simple as football for some people many Catholics (primarily in Europe) think of the pope as being Holy. HE'S NOT. To worship HIM is to worship a false God. The "current" pope along with all those before him seem to think they are above everyone else. Again, what this faith does is their business just keep it to yourselves in regard to pope-talk. The current pope is just another extension of the democrat party, an American politician wannabe.

You're really hung up on Moore aren't you? I didn't realize you were there 40 years ago when the accusers claimed he asked them out. You need to come forward and testify--the women sure can't prove anything. These old ladies must be some of your co-workers doing the work for Soros.

this is a very touch subject, and all i have to say to it is that religion and science are not enemies, we might have a clue on how we got here but we know absolutely nothing about the end and what happens after. MAN can not know it all.
