Just bought my mother's 97 Accord as it has two sets of new tires and I cannot get the money out of it. So the 96 F-350 and '04 Frontier will get used only as needed. 350 has 150K so it should outlast me. At the cost of a house I do not need any new trucks with all the crap on them.
When is a Pickup not a Pickup ? ...

I felt like crap when I scratched the bed of a base model truck the first time. There is no way I'd toss a generator and tools in a "luxury truck". Mud, gravel, and concrete in the cab? Jumping in with a screwdriver or a pair of dykes in my hip pocket? Coffee and crumbs...dogs and cockle burrs...Those are the luxuries of a working truck!
Prior to retiring I no longer needed a pickup. I hauled my tools and gear in the trunk of a Crown Vic. I could stop just about anywhere without advertising to thieves that there were tools on board.2016 Chicago Cubs. MLB Champions!

Oh yeh, pay more money for a bed liner, over the cost of the truck, and when the truck is sold or wore out the bed looks like new! Like putting seat covers on a brand new car, the second owner enjoys the new seats---but you never even see them! You can never go home again.Comment

That is very true and goes for a lot of things
other than car seats.Comment
