Another absolute bald faced lie. There are 52 (supposedly) Republican Senators. It takes 60 votes to pass any meaningful legislation in the Senate. When The Democrats ruled, they squashed the filibuster rule but the Republicans reestablished it when they gained the majority in 2009.

Trump does not rule or control the Senate. Only a low life, left wing, National Socialist would claim that he does. Liar, liar, pants on fire...

Trump could of had a win! Yet he chose to be a petulant child again (one of his many personalities). #MAGA #WINNING

Uh, Red? In this edition of "How Stuff Works" we point out that Trump has to sign whatever Congress passes. Therefore, there's no point in grunting through a tough bipartisan negotiation in the Senate without running it through the White House at the same time.

Here's Trump's deal. Our own Allen, of all people, has figured it out. Trump can't do any compromise with the Dems, even something with mainstream public support, that might jeopardize his vibe with the base. You know those rallies he retreats to when he's feeling in need of an attaboy? Can you imagine the scene if someone in a MAGA hat starts razzing him about selling out the base on immigration? It would break the spell!

He knows it and this is why he's bellowing at McConnell to go nuclear on budget bills. Schumer knows it too, or is at least doing a measurement, taking data. Pretty much all of the easy stuff is behind Trump now. From here it's a hard road.

Petulant my arse. There were zero things in the bill that Trump wanted. Things the Dems could have conceded without losing anything. There was not even a reduced wall, no DACA reform, nothing except what was in the Democrat platform in 2016.

We didn't elect Trump to slink away like a coward and sign a unconditional surrender and that would have been exactly what he was doing by siding with Democrats.

What planet are you on. Name one thing that has happened easily in the past year and they happened only after Trump scratched and gnawed his way through the National Socialist liars. Actually, the only meaningful things are the the tax bill (no Dem. Senators voted for it) and Gorsuch (3 Democrat yea votes).

Everything else was done with zero help from the National Socialist Democrats. What can possibly get harder?

You told us Trump was a dealmaker, not a Republican or Democrat, and that this would be an advantage. Your reply above only proves my point from the other post--Trump is scared to do anything in the interest of governing the country that will break the spell with the yahoos that go to his rallies.

We know now that Trump is a win-lose guy, that he can't do win-win. Some of us saw it from the beginning. Compromise would kill the MAGA movement, so instead it will die slowly in its own excrement.

What is galling to the NSAWP is that Barry and Hillary are no longer valid. @ least, unlike Barry, "Here" is not an option. Tick...Tick...Tick... Wonder what the NSAWP will say with the Border Patrol doing random roadblock checking "Papers Please". Remember lying to a police officer is a no no.

Border patrol already does this on US soil...north of the border.

Sam after a little help from the internet I learn that 5 March is when the jackboots can start hauling the kids over the southern border while the nativists like you whoop and holler. Truth be told I don't know anyone who will be caught in the net, and I may not even know anyone who knows someone in the net. No, I'll just be one of the Americans who shakes his head at the utter smallness and lack of imagination shown by this President. Boy the books that will be written....

Or is it the day American Law Enforcement start to do their job helping the Spanish speaking countries be on their way again with their citizens. Future immigrants will know that they will be welcome as long as it is legal. This is what the immigration issue is all about, legal immigration and responsible citizenship, what is long with this?

Just a thought and then I'll move on. If there are so many here that want US to be like them, and that is what would make them happy, this is still a free country, so why not just load up your bags and go to where you want US to be like, then you won't have to deal with US, and we won't have to listen to your whining and we'll all be happy. WOW, great idea, huh?
