Actually I don't think we will see the DACAs out of limbo anytime soon. Two reasons. First, turning the jackboots loose over the summer won't help GOP numbers going into the midterms. Second, Trump has decided that the DACAs give him leverage. Having concluded that, he won't give it up. Expect him to dangle the DACAs like fruit in coming negotiations. Just my humble prediction.

The "jackboots" are already running loose in NSAWP run cities, look at the fine examples of say Chicago. 10 or more murdered on an "average" weekend? Can you say, "Crime out of control?" The illegals will continue until the border is more secure, illegals go back "home" and let others know what to expect from the "gringo's". Other "things" will replace DACA in the news media and DACA will be forgotten. Republicans will say to look into your paycheck and now you have more, remind people of the NSAWP and their increased taxes to give to "others". People will vote their wallets when reminded. "Were you better off under Obama or under President Trump?" will be the question to ask.

Does the US have vital interests there? Objectively speaking, HELL YES, in more ways than we can count. Does the Trump Administration see it that way? Nobody can say. I also agree that the pocketbook will factor into the election, but as you know, it isn't always about money, and as is his custom, Trump came fashionably late anyways to the current economic party. The longest expansion on record did not start in January of 2017.

If I were to try to explain to an extraterrestrial the essence of the American spirit by showing him the Declaration of Independence, and then let him read one of your posts on the DACA subject, then this offworlder would likely conclude that you like he had never before heard of this place called the United States of America. Are the DACAs not children of the same God that cured you? Can you state with absolute conviction what His plan is for them in this world? One might have thought that a close approach to the border between this world and the next might have changed your perspective some about borders in general.

Why bring God into it, you don't believe. NO, they are not Children of God unless they are believers. If you read Holy Scripture you would understand this. Unlike the song, "Were all God's children, his next of kin" is false. The Declaration of Independence is separate FROM THE CONSTITUTION, THE SUPREME LAW OF MY LAND. In your country was government taught, if so what kind of law do you have in your country? Are your nations laws patterned after the U.S.? The Declaration was the moral justification for a rebellion against the established, legal, gov't of Britain and its laws and officers, not a framework for the governance of the proposed new republic. That framework was the Constitution, which, if exhibited to the ET, ought to be convincing evidence that the new state was intended to be governed strictly by written laws, not the whims of a ruler or party, or an unwritten "common law," as had been part of the legal system in Britain. If that ET was very sharp at all, I think you'd have some trouble making "it" understand that while all laws are meant to be obeyed by all, some laws are optional for some; I don't understand it either.

As I understand it, what happens if & when the DACA amnesty expires is merely that they'll no longer be eligible for positions & benefits requiring legal residence, not that there'll be subject to deportation, though of course the Dems are playing up that angle as a scare tactic.

Illegals of any kind are subject to removal outside of the ZOI. Many are good people and in need of assistance, is it up to the U.S. to assist all? If we keep giving out of our basket, what will be left for US? If ANYONE can come here at ANYTIME why do we need immigration and smuggling laws? Why not follow the hedonistic NSAWP of if it feels good and gets us votes do it. Remember, 'It's for the good of the children that this law needs to be passed!" How many times has this lie been told? I think that "immigrants" who are bright, motivated, and educated, with skills and intellect to offer America, have a legit place in America. The other 99+% of the dreamers include thugs and 'bangers who should already be on the bus back to Guatemala, and points south. Nevertheless, the brightest and bestest still need to wait their turn until all the legitimately petitioned immigration applicants are processed thru first.

Profiled on tonight's PBS evening news is a "dreamer" who's hurting this country every day he stays here far worse than any drug dealer or violent criminal. Found a college in Cally that would accept him without a SS no. or green card--it wasn't hard. Probably also received financial assistance. Then went to law school & graduated. But how would a non-citizen gain a Cally law license? That was easy too--Cally passed a special law making it possible for licenses to be granted to illegals!

So now his entire practice consists of defending illegals held by police or ICE--one of them identified as a known gang-banger. This is how he pays back the society that granted him amnesty???
