Has anyone seen/heard the speech given by Anthony Rizzo of the Chicago Cubs? It's his hometown. He went to school there. He knows some of the families who suffered a loss. Yet in spite of all that he offered prayers and advice without any sort of political agendas. He did make references to previous shootings, but only in the sense of letting the community know that others have suffered and gotten through. That each time anything similar ever happens that they will feel the same as all those who remember before them.

If more people took that approach instead of dancing on graves for personal gains, there would be a lot more unity in this country.

FWIW, I've seen more than my fair share of deaths. Have also seen friends gunned down on the streets and in bars before they were 20. It isn't pretty. I always blamed the shooter instead of his choice in tools.

You'll love this: another Million Malcontent Parade headed for D.C.! This time it's going to be a Million High-School Brat Parade! Hooray!

Hope that hysterical loud mouth with the shaved head will be granted the honor of leading it; nobody can scream louder or mouth left-wing absurdities faster than her. What's your favorite sign? "NRA = Murder" or "Money (the gun lobby of course) Killed Our Friends"?

As I said, what you are stating is validating my point. What is there to pretend? I am not attacking any child only presenting my educated viewpoint on your angry behavior, nothing more. From your statements anger surfaces first...a lot of anger and loathing. Yes, I feel sorry for anyone who has issues of worth.

you can read anger into it if you want if you think it will get you out of an intelligent response to a question.... but I'm not angry that you spent 20 years working at Wall Mart instead of being the educated phsycologist that you profess

I never said that I was a Dr. of Psychology, don't have the educational credits. If I had worked @ Wal-Mart I would have the $1,000 bonus... sure could use some more .22 By the way for your information, the age at which a person becomes an alcoholic their emotional level ceases to mature. A 40 year old man has the emotional maturity of say a 16 year old, if that was the age of the alcoholism taking hold...just saying.

I'm afraid of a national news media that's radically & consistently left-wing, except Fox. Name your left-wing cause--gun-control, uncontrolled immigration, racial preference--and you can rely on the media to pander to it enthusiastically.

Which is exactly the way these teeny-bopper scream-fests are now being hyped.

Maybe. But I doubt it. If you look at a map of the United States these events, no matter how horrific, are tiny little pin pricks. For the average high school kid in say, North Dakota, the Florida incident really means nothing. Even if it did they quickly become absorbed back into their own world and its day to day challenges. Recent history shows that for the most part these events are quickly forgotten by all except those directly affected.
For 99.99999% of these kids it is a blip on the radar screen quckly replaced by the overwhelming challenges of routine life.

No, it is just that the majority of those I dealt with were/are alcoholic and I am seeing something that I recognize...understand now? As to drinking, can't even touch it in cough syrup.
