Bump stocks should have been banned long before Las Vegas! I see absolutely no need for one.

I see absolutely no use for a custom pistol box. Should we ban them, too?

Just becouse you see no use for something does not mean it should be banned.

I think that bum stocks are inaccurate toys - but then I think that caliber .50 or higher pistols, and pistol braces that can be shouldered, are pretty worthless (to me) as well. Do I think they should be banned? No.

Perhaps now they will have to redefine things while opening up another can of worms. Can't use the term "bump stock" because it leaves too many detours to get around. Use the term "devices" and you outlaw bungee cords and rubber bands.
It's going to take some carefully thought out wording and definitions.

Let's think this through. The ATF says that if you have the parts that, when installed, make a "machine gun", then you have a de facto machine gun.

So we should not allow people to have rubber bands or bungees if they have a semi-automatic rifle? Seems silly, doesn't it.
