This whole tread cracks me up.

Donald Trump is the identical fellow who said he was at one point so promiscuous that he was lucky to get out of the 70s and 80s without contracting AIDS. He is the identical Donald Trump who fathered a daughter by his second wife while still married to his first wife. Everyone knew Trump was a womanizer, therefore revelations about him womanizing are not a big deal to most folks.

The fact is that rich powerful men look on women as a "perk." That's why the lefties were so confused about the uproar about Bill Clinton's womanizing. Do you really think that Harvey Weinstein bedded some of the most beautiful women in the world because he was a hunk, come on guys you all know better than that. I've seen rich men who looked like toads with some of the most gorgeous women you can imagine on their arms, and Trump certainly didn't look like a toad which definitely increased his "success rate."

Every now and again something profound comes up in a fun movie. Here is an example. I apologize for the cut off at the very end but everything Marilyn Monroe says in the clip is absolutely and incontrovertibly true.

Lord knows I'm not afraid to bash Trump. His edgy management style is not my cup of tea by any stretch of the imagination. But in this case, it isn't a bash. I'm simply observing (to CH) that Trump has come this far with a certain chaotic, free-wheeling style. Sure, it taxes the endurance of friend and foe alike. And yes, he is canny enough to know that keeping people riled up is part of keeping them tuned in. This is why I think he runs a lean operation that constantly appears to be on the edge of careening out of control, so that if necessary he can turn on a dime to find the next edge, the next wave. And I also suspect that he accepts, to use that surfing analogy, that every now and then the wave is gonna win.

This is why I think the key to enjoying Trump, to the extent someone has a mind to do that, is to enjoy the ride and not worry about the destination, or the crackup. Trump himself understands that I think, which is why he prizes loyalty above all other traits in subordinates. Even the most competent person can be undone by circumstances outside their expertise, when the ride gets scary for them, but the truly loyal in Trump's view transcend their fears and are in it all the way to end.

Me? I don't like crackups. It's as simple as that.

The connection between my posts is there, you're just not seeing it: Trump cultivates chaos because he feels it gives him an advantage. There is no aspect of his public life that appears exempt from this rule. If you can't grasp this, then it's neither my fault or problem.
