After the war, politicians decide to relocate all of them to YOURTOWN and allow them self-government. You suddenly have an "opportunity" here.
1. Live in NEWSAIGON and abide by their 'strange' rules.
2. Fight for what is near and dear to you and your family only to be called a terrorist.

Palestine was tossed out there because they didn't have a formal government and the British couldn't afford to back a puppet. The Zionists claimed it was theirs thousands of years ago. Even though hotly disputed back then as they squatted across the trade routes and claimed land already being used by others. Eventually defeated and either exiled or enslaved if not killed outright. Thousands of years later a demand for reparations at someone else's expense and got it.

I'm seeing Bruce's side on this one. Not that I condone Palestinian tactics, mind you. I have always seen a reason behind it in spite of being outraged over the murder of innocents. The original agreement (if it can be called that) was to establish both Israel and Palestine in a partitioned region. We don't see that today, do we?

Funny thing about Israel .... we never forgave the North Koreans for taking the USS Pueblo captive . But nary a whimper when the Isrealis destroyed the USS Liberty in 67 and we accepted their lie that they thought it was an Egyptian vessel.

I was on a carrier and helped put Phantoms into Isreal during the Yom Kippur in 73 . Used to be proud of that... but now I view them as nothing more than any other who would attempt to use us for their own gain . They'd just love to involve us in their war ..... we have better allies that get recognized less

I'll name more than one... Australia and New Zealand who sent their troops to Vietnam both of whom are denegrated by the present powers that be.... Canada... another victim . Even England is a better ally having sent its troops to stand with us ..... need some more?

Comparison was to a concentration camp, which, you having missed that, reveals where the true stupidity lies. Palestinians could escape their "concentration camp" by going to Hamas-controlled Gaza, but in addition they have the whole Arab world open to them. They stay because the "oppression" they suffer (and DESERVE) in Israel provides them with a better life than they'd have in ANY Islamic country!

The reason I asked is that "if they don't like it they can leave" is a recurring theme of yours. Well leaving isn't so easy, as your time in blue state purgatory demonstrates, and Gaza is arguably just a bigger camp for the Palestinians. Whereever you look in the world at trouble spots, religious conservatives find themselves sparring with their neighbors. That's what they think God (or Gods in the Hindu case) tells them to do. Muslim, Jewish, Christian, Hindu, Buddhist, it hardly matters. Hmmm... wonder if that's a coincidence.

No, not when you're 74. But how does this apply to all the under-50 Palestinians (the vast majority of them) who have nothing better to do with their time than throw rocks, burn tires, & plot murders?
