    Say Whaaaaat???

So President Trump is a moron and thinks we should do more to secure our borders. Democrats are calling him all kinds of names, so here is a little video about what other Presidents have done to make immigration easier...

Red my sense is that Trump wants to let the issue play, at least through the midterms, or the election after that. As I predicted, no way does he go to a rally only to have a heckler shout "amnesty".

So I have to wonder if this is truly a crisis at the border or just an issue being used to whip up the base. Signs point to the latter, because even in these polarized times, Americans still put aside politics when a flood or tornado or fire hits, etc.

Trump could have had his $25B for the wall from the Dems in exchange for DACA relief, which he says he is for. But the WH torpedoed it and it never came to a vote. Ever since he only plays to the one side.

Consequently I conclude that he is playing for time and advantage, and consequently doesn't truly believe things are out of control in the country because of the southern border.

Oh no doubt he wants to build a giant wall and purge a bunch of Latinos. But the motivation is more from personal animus than objective evidence that they are ruining the country.

Yeah, but they're liberals, they don't do things, they just say things.

I think Trump fully understands the danger of illegal immigrants flowing into the country at will. Just looked at a CNN article that said "migrant families being seperated at the border". They are not "migrants" they are illegal aliens. Big difference. Why do people have a hard time understanding that? BTW, I don't fall for the boo hoo crap from the left. If they really cared they might spend some effort pushing for positive change in their home countries. Are we going to let South America become a continental septic tank? Guarantee that will bite us hard some day . Why not try to fix the problems there?

Jim I think the right and left are both whipped up to the point of irrationality. Don't call them immigrants because that shouldn't be in the cards just because they crossed the border. But don't call them hordes invading America with a single-minded intent to destroy it. The truth is far more prosaic. They want to come here, looking for better, and this isn't in the cards for them. Stay home and fix their own country, maybe with help from us.

They should stay home and fix their own country. And they most likely need our help and that would probably be good investment.

You can't fix stupid. S***hole countries are that way for a reason. Let's import another couple million.

Can't argue with logic. I guess a good example is Venezuela. With their oil it should be a great country. Yet down the drain they go.

The reason these illegals flock to the U.S. is for the freebies that will be handed out to them. South American countries aren't near as bad as some illegals claim. After all, there are millions of people there who get along just fine. California should accept ALL the illegals! Then when CA goes bankrupt we can extend the 'wall' up the East side of CA.
