The point being Sam that Nazis are nationalists first and foremost. That's obvious to anyone who has taken a serious look at the movement, which obviously leaves you, Vern and Red at the curb. Hitler is giving that quote in a speech in 1922. As is well documented, his positions on economics were quite fuzzy, and in the end, after the Nazis came to power, they left the 3 pillars of Conservative society, the Industrialists, the Army, and the Junkers, intact even as the labor unions and Social Democratic Party were sent to oblivion. If they were leftists then they had a funny way of demonstrating it to the German people, or the rest of the world. So are there any political parties in the USA that are taking a strong nationalist position? Any corners of the country that apply ethnic overtones to that nationalism? If you want to find Nazis in the USA, that's the place to look.

He was too low and too slow because he ignored the rules. As a POW and as a son of the Admiral in charge of the fleet, he was offered a release. He had no choice, if he took the release he would have been ostracized by everybody. So he did what he was his only option. How does that make him a hero?

J.W. Wiley was from Arkansas. He was a "Mustang," that piloted a A-1 Sky rRaider on a SAR mission over No, Vietnam and was in the melee where 2 MIG-17's were shot down by the propeller driven Korean War vintage aircraft. Jim flew over 100 combat missions in the A-1. Then he volunteered to transition to F-4 Phantoms and flew another 100 combat missions. He was credited with a "probable" kill of another MIG. He received a medal for landing his damaged F-4 aboard the carrier. A faulty Sparrow III exploded under their aircraft. His RIO was unconscious and would not have survived an ejection. I flew with J.W.Wiley over 70 times in the back seat of F-4's. I have my log book as proof.

So John McCain is a hero... and J.W. Wiley from Clinton, AR is a zero.

Here is the link... Please look at it.

Again you are bringing an argument meant to distraction from my intent. The German abbreviation for National Socialism is NAZI, why bring in anything else...except you are trying to distract what you are. Your Freudian slip is showing again Togor!

Sam when talking about Germans doesn't it make sense to understand the German context? Do you agree with city people when they tell their tales that paint all of Appalachia as peopled by a bunch of ignorant Hillbillys? Or do you point out that they don't know the first thing about the region and so who are they to judge? Unless you're prepared to spend some time understanding German history, the rise of the German national identity, and the currents that fed the cataract of the 1930s, you're just posting on a wing and a prayer, hoping that people will buy it. Well sorry but I don't. Show me some depth to your understanding if you can.

No need to show depth, a National Socialist is a National Socialist regardless of location. Again, trying to argue an intent and by the way ignorant simply means a lack of knowledge. One can and does say the same thing about others fields or locations. Being ignorant is no crime or a stigma never has been nor will be. Togor you are good at what you are not saying that is obvious.

"No need to show depth" kind of has me wondering why you object when guys ask about your college degree. It's useless to you so why bother to defend it?

This thread is boring to tears now so I'll end my part in it with a slight tweak on Red's logic:

Nazis are nationalists and you are a nationalist, ergo you are a Nazi. Red's logic is moronic, and even this twist on it, although much more accurate, brings me no pleasure because the level of discourse is so low.

Prepare yourselves for a day-long extravaganza of TV news coverage of the funeral. Even though McCain-mania has dominated TV news since the day he died (hardly watched the news at all since then, too nauseating), today will be the day that surpasses, possibly, coverage of Kennedy's funeral. In fact, the coverage of Kennedy's death & funeral is the only event I can remember that approaches the adulation lavished on McCain this past week; in Kennedy's case, the "show" wasn't merely because he died, but because he was assassinated. But better than being assassinated, for stimulating this media frenzy, is setting yourself up as the bitterest, most implacable, enemy of Trump!

Speaking of the Kennedy's. Ted Kennedy died of the same thing and they died on the same day. Definitely 2 peas in a pod.

I guess in McCain's and Aretha Franklin's case they are going to stretch things out till the bodies start to smell.

How is that possible when the TV can't be turned on without seeing some reporter or liberal politician glorifying the Not-Good Senator? It's even pushed aside (temporarily) coverage of the Great Russian Hacking Scandal! When the media lets up, so will I.

I'm pretty sure Sam meant to let up on it here. In our own little corner of the world.

When the media lets up? I think we're all man enough to do better than that. C'mon now. Frustration aside I think even you can see that.
