Deliberately vague statement thereby allowing you to read into it whatever you want. This is your stock-and-trade. You say your "American Way of Life" is threatened. I say "be specific" and you can't.

What Obama didn't do is go into open war with the media. He was typical of past presidents in that respect. They didn't like leaks, or bad coverage, but accepted that the press had their job. Obama ran a much more disciplined, tighter ship than Trump, and so while he had leaks, and *really* didn't like them, on the whole his enterprise was much more watertight than the man of color (orange) who followed him into the job and who rants excessively about loyalty or lack thereof.

The press noticed Obama was black, and yes that is a story whether you like it or not--first American POTUS with African ancestry. But that was hardly the centerpiece of the coverage on a daily basis for 8 years. Seems to have stuck in your craw for 8 years though. Again: you could choose not to see color and to not let it bother you if others can't make the same leap. Or have you made it your job for these final years on earth to run around and police up everyone else's attitudes?

He won't be needed--there'll only be time for a fraction of the Dems lining up for that privilege. Meanwhile, on every TV news program, the crocodile tears being shed for McCain continue to flow without interruption--WHERE WAS all that adulation when he ran fro Prez.? Should have resulted in a big victory for him!

It didn't because at the time of his campaign, the object of the media's greatest hatred since Eugene McCarthy--guess who?--had not yet become a politician. If McCain had kept his loathing of Trump to himself, instead of seizing every opportunity the media provided to denounce him, his death would never have provoked the media glorification that's now going on. The media has made glorifying McCain a new way to demonize Trump.

Normally when I see a thread begin to degenerate into a mud slinging piss-on-his shoes match I take a seat on the sidelines. But when Sandpebble said this and it was nearly ignored I think I have to backtrack a little.

        BOOM! NAILED IT NAILED IT!!

That entire repeal fiasco was orchestrated as an ugly political flanking maneuver. Obamacare needed to go before it festered yet they had nothing in place to offer the voting public who actually love the crap THEY get for "free".
This is the plan we offer the taxpayers.
Ease the burden for the taxpayers.
Provide basic medical care for the less fortunate. (They already had a taste of it...)
Reasonable premiums for those who pay for their own.
        No slashed coverage.
No penalties for employers so no need to duck through loopholes but cutting all jobs down to part time....

Take a deduction off the top on both welfare and payroll checks based on a percentage of the gross JUST LIKE MEDICARE AND PRIVATE EMPLOYER PLANS.

Something, anything to hold up to use any of the above sales pitches. Yet all they voted on was to repeal a bad system in place without a net to fall in. Nothing in place to relieve the burdens Obamacare had already created.
That same no research short sightedness has been plaguing the GOP for years and that's why the Dems get their useless carrot on a stick crap passed so often.

As experts in financing health care for those who don't have through their work have been pointing out even before Obamacare was enacted, EVERYTHING now provided through Obamacare could have been accomplished merely by lowering the income limits for Medicaire. Doing it that simple way had one fatal drawback, however: no new bureaucracy would have to be created, no new federal parasites hired to administer the program, & MOST crucially, no Obama "legacy" to crow about!

Neither was he elected to spend most of his days in office playing golf at his private country clubs around the country.

No, he was elected to improve the economy, cut taxes, raise real wages, cut unemployment, increase labor force participation, deal with external threats like North Korea.

Did I mention the NASDAQ broke 8100 today?

He's maintaining the growth from the last 8 years. Good Job! Except...Trump is no more responsible than any other president.

Edit, How's that deficit spending? Supply side a little sluggish?

There's a lot of stimulus out there. Not going into wage increases though. Folks at the bottom still have trouble making ends meet, paying medical bills. Oops, that Socialist to say that. Sorry.
