Red you nut, the Q was whether McCain had any major legislation. M-F came to mind so I said it. Yes I predicted people hate it and lo, you do! You remind me of a boss I once knew who had lousy comm skills and who preferred to deal with his reports and peers as he imagined them to be instead of dealing with them as the people they were. Suffice it to say he maxxed out early in his career in true Peter Principle fashion.

George C Marshall was entitled to a State Funeral, but he opted for a Special Military Funeral. Pershing got a State Funeral.
This reminds me of the outpouring of emotion for Princess Di in 1997. A year later...

And tabloid sluts are always popular; she was the "people's princess" because she got down to the level of "East Enders."

Hope you're right, but almost certain you're wrong. In the next presidential election, tape of him bashing Trump will probably be too good a campaign tool for the Dems to pass up; McCain himself was no doubt hoping that before he croaked.

So it appears that as a politician he was about average or a little below.

I've enjoyed the week long vacation from Trump making up news for himself. Even with the petty attempt at drawing attention with the flag. His supporters are obviously going through withdrawals from the lack of auto-erotic news cycle.

Can you "volunteer" one of "them" to walk point? Bouncing Betty is waiting on them!

They're not the sort to walk point -- that would be actually contributing something.

Who you kidding, Vern? A couple a shells lobbed your way and you yell "don't feed the webleys" (or whatever) and scurry back to the bunker.

So if serving in a combat infantry environment is your definition of contribution, how then can you defend your support of a coward and Russian sycophant like Trump?

                                Vern sounds like a hypocrite.
