This is a natural response when something goes wrong, we usually look for an answer to a perceived problem or situation. Some people feel that more laws or restrictions will make everything fine, that is until the next time. Life is a hazard, the simple act of chewing food can lead to chocking and possible death. Fortunately driving a car or flying has gotten safer to improved safety measures, yet due to mechanical malfunction, pilot/driver error accidents do happen. Within the last week there have been two shooting, the one in Ky. was lessened by the simple means of a locked door. Society has always had people who are problems. In the old days you simply hung them to avoid having to continue to deal with them, today we lock them up and security personal have to continue to deal with them. Regardless of how society deals with some people, these people will continue to act out. How should society deal with these people? Some people can have their mind changed, other's cannot.
I feel that until society changes how to deal with each other then society can and will continue to have these episodes. Dog Tag made a comment in an earlier thread that made me think about reacting and I am grateful for his thoughtful observation. Our society is falling apart, evidence this board. Whose fault is it? The simple answer is no one and everyone. We have three here with opposing viewpoint, I have no problem with that. The problem with many, self included, is how one reacts to their comment. Personally starting now I shall heed my own counsel.
