So have I. But they live that way through choice, not through necessity. The dividing line between the socio-economic Middle Class and the Upper Class is a little over $100,000 a year, and people who cannot live well on that AND put aside substantial savings are people who CHOOSE not to practice prudent money management.

Then there are those who are trained battery changers who successfully do little and continue to feed at the government provided trough.

Got to admit, all this talk about sorry ended low quality unimportant govt. employees is thought provoking. Got to wonder, where and why distinctions are made. Cannot see why a shutdown of govt. services only applies to areas deemed less than important. Would think that it should apply from the janiors in the buildings right on up to anyone and everyone who even rides an elevator upstairs to a cubical or even a corner office. Shut down? Then shut it down ... from the gate guards at military bases to the cafeteria to the drill field to the battle field. Shut it down. Cannot see any reason at all to pick and choose. After all, unimportant bean counters in the estimate of some are the very ones others consider to important to spare. JMHO. Sincerely. bruce.

Oh, yeah. And because they leech off the rest of us, while we work to support them, they feel superior to us.

We are the "little people" according to BP oil exec Tony Hayward (comment made during Deep Water Horizon oil spill). Think how much smaller we are in the eyes of government employees then think how much smaller than that we are to government officials.

Wait...career soldier and defense contractor, yes? And would-be member of the House of Representatives? I think you got your THEY and US mixed up, as does your sidekick who was, if not mistaken, a government social worker. None of which is to discourage your gibber, since it has First Amendment protections, but rather to point out that it is taken in the same nonsensical spirit in which it is given. To add to the general foolishness of the moment, you recently chided others for resorting to ad hominem attacks even as you revel in them yourself. The childlike mind that can reappear with senesence suits you.

Very well said from our resident trained battery changer. How many batteries do you switch out in a day?
