billion light years away were sent by aliens. I'm not sure
how fast radio signals go, but they're a hell of a lot slower
than light speed. Does he think those aliens are still around ?

It beats me why we waste valuable dollars on this kind of nonsense.
Those huge dishes used for capturing the Orion nebular top ten hits
or Andromeda soap operas must have cost multiple billions. Why ? Who says
Aliens are going to be friendly ? If they live on a planet that looks like Mars,
they'll really like this place, and that won't be good. FRBs are good though.
