This morning @ Lowes another dog broke lose from his keeper and came directly towards Wolf, she went into her stance. The dog was twice Wolf's size, but she stood her ground under the command of "Hold!" and the dog was retrieved. No, I have a good companion who is always with me as I go about my day.

Last kidney stone I had, I just tried benadryl. Mine have always passed by the time they can apply a med in my IV.

Surprisingly they always try to give pain meds for at home, long after it's made it to the bladder.

Nurses always tell me it's worse than childbirth...so I've had four kids I guess.

One big stone, a couple little ones that I powered through. The big one rattled around in the bladder for a few weeks before coming out. Every once in awhile it felt like I was getting smacked in the boys. No pain meds as the worst was over by the time they figured it out. I try to stay well hydrated ever since. Winter seems to be the season for them.

Whiskey, whisky, red wine and Coors with a sandwich. Got scraped off of the pavement heading north out of Augusta. Nurse showed me a little gray box, said this is all for you. Never took any even though the nurses all said I was in pain. Guess I wasn't smart enough to figure it out.

I've never met anyone who had an alcoholic in the family who found it enjoyable.
In my case, there's some personal bias. October 9, 2015 at 1:30AM I was bicycling home-I was hit by a drunk. Came to in the ambulance.
At the hospital they gave me a Percocet, and a prescription for it. Which I did not bother to get filled. My right leg was sore-should have iced it up-and I was mighty ticked off. A good night's sleep and I was ready to face the day.

                  yep,

avg one per kidney every 2 yrs or so,

                  passed them all,

hurt going to the bladder, usually, then easy peasy coming out

last one I passed I never knew I had it until I felt a tingle and heard it hit the ceramic,,

worst I had I shook loose in the kidney in may,
passed to the bladder in OCT,,

if I worked hard it would hurt, and I would pee anything from a nice Rose to a medium Merlot,

on vacation in Oct that year, nothing to do but putz around the house one day , and was hurting a bit,

so, Doc said drink good beer, so I did,
Bells Two Hearted, started at 11am, got 3\4 thru the big can (5 ltr) and called it a night at 11 or so,

work up hurting at 2,. felt like a hot branding iron in the back, then sudden relief,

pissed it out the next morning, looked like a big grain of long grain rice with teeth on each end,,

fun time was a few months later, when I was still showing some blood in my urine, and the ero wanted to look at my bladder, from the inside,,

                    that was not comfortable

I have had a glass of water at my bedside since I was eight. No way do I go to bed without a ration of water. It's just an intinct(sp) kind of thing with me. So, so far, no nitro in the dick. I've heard it's not pleasant.

                            I do the same,

glass of water before I go to bed,
if I get up to go in the middle of the night (sometimes, not always) drink another glass, and then one in the morning,,

How so? I've been wounded twice, broken my back when a horse slammed me into a tree, had a gall bladder removed, and had a heart attack. And while they gave me stuff for pain in the hospital, I've never taken any pain medication outside the hospital -- I throw the prescriptions away, and don't use across-the-counter pills.
