The answer is simple & would be confirmed by your own doctor, I'm sure: you are blessed with a much higher than normal pain tolerance. I'm not talking about some kind of mystical will power, I'm talking about the same kind of physiological & anatomical differences that account for differences in height, weight, vision, hearing, physical strength, & every other parameter of human biology. For instance, I've discovered over the course of many injuries, including a bullet through my spleen, that I have a huge resistance to the effects of most pain meds--so much so that after giving me the standard dose of liquid Valium during an operation, the surgeon had to give me another because he said he could see it was wearing off prematurely.

Do you REALLY think the entire industry of mfg. of pain meds, could be done away with if patients were just given aspirin? I've never in my life noticed ANY benefits of aspirin, motrin, ibuprofen, even when taking 3 or 4 times the regular dose, & when I told this to my physical therapist, he said they had no effect on him either!

you speak of something a lot of people don't understand,

scripts from a doc, or instructions on a bottle of aspirin, and usually for an average person,

a lot of folks, and some doc's and Rx's I have met struggle with that, ,
the fact that a person like you could take a bottle of advil and not feel a thing, while someone else could take one and go numb,

      I usually take 3, not 2, not 4 but 3,
      3 being the number

      5 is right out

Where are you getting this? I never said any such thing. I only said I saw many friends lives ruined by morphine, and have stayed away from painkillers of any kind ever since.

I'm getting this from your own statement:

Then you are definitely engaged in a dialog with yourself. I ADVISE people to stay away from strong pain meds -- I never said "the entire industry of mfg. of pain meds, could be done away with"
