Not so fast... the bill to build the wall would have never made it to Trump's desk. The Republicans can be said to have had a majority in both houses but Trump didn't. Corker, McCain, Flake, Amash, Romney, Snow, Sasse, Comstock, Sanford, Heller, and yes Graham, etc. would have made sure that the wall was a non starter.

Assume that's true, but how does it change the present situation with the Dems now controlling the House & absolutely unwilling to compromise, because they know Trump alone is being blamed?
