Neanderthals, smarter than your average expert ...

If these "experts" who apparently think the Neanderthals were
stupid, were suddenly given an animal skin and dumped in
Utah 300,000 years ago, how long would they survive ?
Not long I'm thinking. How long I could survive without my
trusty Buck Frontiersman and a box of Strike Anywhere matches
    is a question.
My hat is off to those Neanderthals.

"Research combined a fragment of a surviving spear with javelin throwing athletes"

But were those javelin throwing athletes Neanderthals, with Neanderthal body configurations?

I don't know why they didn't use actual Neanderthals for the test.
There are plenty to be found in the media and the democrat party.

You make a good point there.

Added later: Aha! I see why they didn't use media types and Democrats -- you can't trust those people with pointed objects.

As a Life Member of SNM-Sons of Neanderthal Man-I resent the implication that we would be found in the ranks of the Democrats. We're a pretty conservative bunch.

Sorry. Didn't mean to offend. I have a great respect for those folk
which is more than I can say about the media and democrats.

One interesting thing about Neanderthals is that many Neanderthal skeletons have healed broken bones -- indicating, among other things, that they received good care at a time when they could not care for themselves. The Department of Labor maintains an Occupational Injury database, and when the Neanderthal injuries are plugged into that database, the closest modern occupation is "Rodeo Cowboy" -- people who mix it up with big, powerful animals.

Now that you mention it...they never talk about Neanderthal women?

Neanderthal women were easy. So easy a caveman could do it.

Call me busted! The ad came on just as I was reading this thread

Yes we are in a freeze up here. At least the Neanderthals didn't have to deal with Chicago drivers. Frickin low IQ ice chickens....proving cavemen were smarter than they are.

Perhaps I shouldn't be so quick to judge. Still getting used to my new phone. I'm about as graceful as a caveman on a motorcycle.
